My name is Amy Gayhart Weck ’07. I'm a management grad and the current president of the St. Edward’s Alumni Association. Learn more about my role as president and general alumni opportunities in this video. Additionally, I wanted to introduce you to our Alumni Board of Directors, an amazing group of community members who continuously and generously share their time, talent, and treasure with the Hilltop.
Although our Hilltop happenings don’t look the same as they did before the pandemic, I’m so proud of how we’ve been able to keep alumni virtually engaged. I’d love to connect with you at an upcoming event! In the meantime, we’re always looking for ways to improve (as well as for programming ideas). Feel free to reach out to us 24/7 with any comments, questions, or suggestions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Big news! Now through October 31, match sponsors Jimmy Mills (Professor Emeritus of Biology) and Wanda Mills will add $100 to your gift to the Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship. Established in November 2020, the Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship is awarded to students with demonstrated financial need each year. The more alumni who give, the farther this scholarship will go! Every donor makes a difference — will you give to the Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship and get matched today?
Join the SEU Alumni Book Club on Tuesday, October 19 for our virtual meet-up to discuss The Midnight Library by Matt Haig! Relax and unwind while discussing the book, sharing your thoughts, asking questions, and enjoying great company.
Haven’t finished the book yet? There’s still time! Be sure to join the Alumni Book Club Facebook group so you can participate in meet ups and online discussions. After you’ve joined the Alumni Book Club Facebook, you’ll be able to register for the meet-up.
Did you know that we’ve created two endowments to honor members of our faculty past and present?
Dr. Tom Sechrest Endowed Scholarship was established by three MSOLE alumni, Araminta Everton Sellers '09, Daniel Guerrero '09, Christela Gonzalez '16, Jessi Propst Wright '16, and faculty member, Dr. Glenda Ballard. It is the first endowment of its kind to support graduate students pursuing a career in leadership.
Lincoln Excellence in Political Science Writing Award Endowment was generously established by Dr. Neal Wise (right) and recognizes political science majors who fulfill the university's mission of being able to "express themselves articulately in written form."
Would you like to help build these endowments to support future generations of Hilltoppers? Please consider honoring Dr. Sechrest (left) or Dr. Wise by making a gift today.
A native of Jamaica, Dahlia Campbell, Ph.D., is one of the newest members to the university’s Board of Trustees. Dr. Campbell earned her bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from St. Edward’s University in 2007. While on the Hilltop, she merited the distinction of becoming the university’s first McNair Scholar.
After her graduation, she attended Purdue University to earn her Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry. Dr. Campbell is currently an asset manager at BASF, a socially responsible company implementing sustainability projects around the world. She has contributed to projects ranging from finding creative ways to reuse waste to building longer-lasting and more sustainable roads. Please join us in congratulating Dr. Campbell on her service to the board.
In a year where coming together was more challenging than ever, we are deeply grateful for the 707 individual attendees who made our 78 Hilltop events come to life.
If you missed any of these events, you can view them on YouTube.
The diversity of St. Edward’s enriches our community. It represents a significant part of our culture, mission and commitment to excellence. We value the individual differences, life experiences, unique capabilities and innovative talent that our employees and students contribute to our vibrant academic environment. See how we are creating a more just and humane world.
Meet other alumni who share your passions and support the same programs on the hilltop.
